Here's
a note from Sizani Ngubane to Paul Wells (Susan's Uncle
Sonny).
Dear
Paul
How nice it is to be able to connect with you and some members
of your family and friends of Susan. I sent Frieda Werden
a message asking her to please send me email addresses of
especially friends who donated / made contributions toward
my truck so that I can send them messages to say many thanks
to them.
I
thank you so much for the donation you made - it really
made a difference in my life and my family life. I was not
aware of Susan's plan about my truck until I got this surprise.
Susan
is been a great inspiration for me. Even at times when I
was beginning to lose hope - she would send me a very inspirational
message. I am feeling really empty without her physical
presence. I hope I will be able to deal with the loss and
be able to accept it.
Many
thanks once more Paul.
Peace
for Susan

At
the Memorial Service, Mavis handed this to us. She said
that Susan designed the straw bale arches. Sounds like an
interesting weekend, one that Susan certainly would have
wanted to attend.
We
know that Susan worked for Greenpeace and that she considered
them an important organization in the struggle for the earth.
Here's the link to their website. If you're not already
a member, why don't you sign up?
Genevieve
Vaughn and her Foundation for a Compassionate Society did
much to support Susan and the projects she was interested
in. Genevieve's caring and generosity enabled the museum
and many other worthwhile endeavors. You can find out more
about the WATER (Women's Access to Electronic Resources)
project, which has been one of the Foundation's beneficiaries,
at this link.

Back
around her 60th birthday, Susan had mentioned to us the Anthony
Graves Legal Defence Fund as a cause she would like to see
supported. Bonnie Caraway has been working hard for Mr. Graves'
release. She's given us a link to a website about Anthony
Graves. Check out the site and see the next entry for information
about how to contribute.
I
am a friend of Susan's. We became close just
recently as she was working on a book about
innocence
on death row and one of my friends was
one of her dear friends - Anthony Graves.
She
was a wonderful, caring, and hard working lady.
I admired Susan so much. She never gave up. This
is a sad time indeed to lose such a beautiful human being.
I offer my blessings and I know that Susan
has gone on to a very special place with a special
set of angel wings awaiting her there. I am so sorry.
This is a great loss. My prayers are with Susan's
family and friends. And I know she had many.
In my prayers,

Here's
another correspondence we received more recently from Bonnie:
Hi
Ric,
I saw the beautiful website you have set up for Susan and
I know that she would be so very proud...This is wonderful
and for a wonderful lady..
Donations
for Anthony can be sent to:

Anthony
has been so hurt by Susan's death..It seems he was closer
to her than he thought..I've never seen him so upset. And
Susan is one person among so many that truly believed in Anthony's
innocence.
God
Bless you for all that you are doing. Knowing Susan I know
that she will be smiling down at you and loving you with all
her heart. I was at a protest today at the death row at Polunsky
Unit in Livingston and my little granddaughter looked over
at me and said "I wish Susan could see us". I told
her that I was very sure that she could see us and was keeping
an eye on us all. Susan made such an impression on all our
lives.

Susan
was a tireless worker for the elimination of nuclear weapons
as well as nuclear energy. This sticker was put out by the
Ground Zero Center for Nonviolent Action. The (unreadable)
URL at the bottom is www.gzcenter.org.
They can probably use some money.
And,
of course, there's the Green Party. Again, if you're not already
supporting the Green Party, you're not doing what Susan would
do. She gave them her votes, her money and her efforts. Maybe
we can do the same.
The
Museum lives on! Here's a note from Jennifer Olaranna Viereck,
Director of HOME: Healing Ourselves & Mother Earth. They
have fixed up the museum that Susan built and are taking it
on the road.
What
a wonderful website, labor of love and information to keep
the spirit alive.
Just
wanted to let you know that the Museum to End the Nuclear
Age, Susan's creation, lives on.
