LIVING TRIBUTES

This is a new section of the site. Since the best tribute we can pay to Susan's memory is in our actions, here we will focus on current political actions that are, at least in some part, inspired the unrelenting activity, bravery and talents of our friend and mentor, Susan Lee. Here is Susan's good friend Susan Bright, channeling Susan Lee at the Austin Tea Party, one of Susan Bright's Bright ideas. We assembled on Austin's pedestrian bridge to protest the rush to war our government is engaging in. Some dressed in a semblance of 1776 garb as we threw parsely off the bridge in a demonstration of defiance of King George and his tyranny.

Let us all be children, black eyes shining, blue eyes shining, open wide to anyone, open to each other's strangeness.

Let us be adults who live justice, make peace, love each other, forgive the past. Let us pitch the seeds of war to tar, so they can¹t grow.

Let our children play on safe ground.
Let us repair ourselves and our governments.

Let us forgive each other.
Let us invent peaceful communities for a living planet.

Let us all be children.
Let us shelter one another,
grieve together, cry like rain.
Let us heal the scar that came from every horrible thing everyone has ever done.

Let¹s stop retaliating. Let us all be children.
